Film Review of Gran Torino

FILM REVIEW
GRAN TORINO

We've seen the film Gran Torino , a film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood.
The film is starred by Clint Eastwood (Walt Kowalski), Bee Vang (Thao Vang Lor), Anhey Her (Sue Lor) and Christopher Carley (Father Janovich).

Plot:

The film starts with the funeral of Walt's wife. Walt is an old american retired soldier who is always angry. He's a lonely person and the relationship with his sons isn't very good.
The neighborhood where Walt lives in is full of Asiatic people now. Walt doesn't like this people because he fought in the Korean war.
One day,he discovers his Asiatc neighbour,Thao, trying to steal his car,a 1972 Ford Gran Torino. The gang of Thao's cousin has ordered him to steal the car to join in the gang.
After that,Walt saves Thao and his family from the gang and they start to give him presents and Thao starts to work to Walt.
Walt and Thao are friends now. But the gang continues attacking the family.
Walt discovers that he's very sick and he gives his life to protect Thao's family.
He goes to the gang's house without weapons and the members of the gang kill him because they were thinking that he was going to pull out his gun. The police arrest them to kill an unarmed man and bring them to prison.

Personal opinion:

I like this film very much. It has action, weapons, and a trouble as the gangs. I also like the character of Walt because he changes his mind about the Asiatic people and they are his friends at the end of the film. He's angry and he doesn't mind his sons at the beginning of the film but he wants to change. At the end he is a brave man and gives his life for his friends.

I don't like the fact that Walt died because he was very brave. I don't like the gang. They hurt Thao's family.

I'd recommend this film this film to everybody. The age doesn't matter because I think that there isn't a lot of violence and it's a nice film to watch.
I give the film 9 out of10.

Barça news

Last Saturday, the FC Barcelona won his 6th title in just one year. It has become the best football team in the world because no team has ever won six titles in one year. The match was in Abu Dhabi , against the argentine team Estudiantes de la Plata. The match was very agonizing because the argentine team was won 1-0 until the last minute, when Pedrito scored a goal. In the extension , Messi scored the last goal with his chest and the FC Barcelona won the 6th title.

Breaking The Habit - Linkin Park

Lyrics:

Memories consume
Like opening the wound
I’m picking me apart again
You all assume
I’m safe here in my room
Unless I try to start again.
I don't want to be the one
The battles always choose
Cause inside I realize
That I’m the one confused

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
I don't know why I instigate
And say what I don't mean
I don't know how I got this way
I know it's not alright
So I’m
Breaking the habit
Tonight

Clutching my cure
I tightly lock the door
I try to catch my breath again
I hurt much more
Than anytime before
I had no options left again

I’ll paint it on the walls
Cause I’m the one at fault
I’ll never fight again
And this is how it ends

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
But now I have some clarity
To show you what I mean
I don't know how I got this way
I’ll never be alright
So I’m
Breaking the habit
Breaking the habit
Tonight

Letra traducida:

Los recuerdos consumen
Como abriendo la herida
Estoy escarbando en mi otra vez
Tú lo asumes todo
Estoy seguro aquí en mi habitación
A menos que intente empezar otra vez
Yo no quiero ser al que
Las batallas siempre eligen
Porque por dentro me doy cuenta
Que yo soy el confundido

No sé porque vale la pena luchar
O porqué tengo que gritar
No sé porqué instigo

Intento respirar otra vez

Obama's Speech

4th-November-2008,Victory Speech

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen, by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; thet their voices could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by the young and, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Lation, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disable and not disable - Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.

It's the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.

It's been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.
